Biographical data Hendrik Renkers
Register Baarn: June 13th 1894 settlement from Hoogland. Profession: hunter / carpenter / merchant in butter and eggs. After a failed marriage he meets Antonia Stalenhoef. They get a son Johannes Gerardus Renkers, born Februari 22nd 1912. About 1924 he emigrates to Canada. Hendrik bought a small farm in the province of Manitoba and settled down to wheat farming. Antonia Stalenhoef later took a boat to Canada with their son Johannes Gerardus. They arrived on January 18th 1925 on the boat Montrose of Canadian Pacific in the harbour of Saint John in New Brunswick. Antonia then is 31 years old and Johannes 12 years and he is mentioned here as Johannes Stalenhoef. However, Antonia did not fancy farm-life and left to Winnipeg. There she re-married and had another son Reginald. She died about 1970 in Ottawa (Canada) and was buried in the Notre Dame Cemetery on Montreal Rd.
